The Centre for Gender, Women and Children in Sustainable Development (CGWCSD), in partnership with the Osun State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU), has concluded a two-day training and meeting to strengthen data protection, inclusive adaptations for vulnerable groups, and accountability mechanisms within the Osun-RAAMP project.
The programme addressed the risks of Gender-Based Violence and Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (GBV/SEAH) in infrastructure projects, underscoring the importance of survivor-centred approaches and accountability for contractors and SPIU staff.

Participants engaged in case studies and simulations to improve real-life response skills. On the second day, representatives from ministries, security agencies, NAPTIP, and the Osun State Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) met to reinforce the state’s GBV referral pathway. Facilitators highlighted labour influx and power imbalances as key GBV risks in large infrastructure schemes and stressed the need for ethical response systems guided by Do No Harm principles and informed consent.
